The Fens Passport
The European funded Lincolnshire Transitional Project has completed its latest marketing initiative – your passport to The Fens and travel rucksack, which is available from Tourist Information Centres across the region. The stylish weather proof holdall contains guides detailing places to stay and areas of special interest, plus a selection of ‘freebies’ including bookmarks, a pen, postcards and a passport. This pocket sized passport is designed to encourage locals and visitors to use Tourist Information Centres, travel around The Fens and take advantage of discounts and vouchers, which are not time sensitive, along the way. Your passport to The Fens is packed with local information from shops and restaurants to sports facilities, and by getting it stamped at TIC’s across The Fens; holders can enter their details into a prize draw to win a short break holiday. |

Boston is the birthplace of the modern disco. In the 1940’s local man Ron Diggins invented the "Diggiola", a portable unit incorporating turntable, amplifiers, speakers and its own light show. This strange piece of Art Deco technology can be seen in the Boston Assembly rooms.
